K-pop powerhouse Ateez has once again soared to the top of the music charts, securing their third No. 1 album on the prestigious Billboard 200. This impressive milestone not only highlights the group's growing popularity but also establishes their dominance in the current decade's album rankings.

K-Pop Group Ateez Claims Third No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 with "Golden Hour : Part.5"

On July 5, 2026, K-pop phenomenon Ateez celebrated a significant achievement as their album “Golden Hour : Part.5” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. This marks their third chart-topping album, following the success of “Golden Hour : Part.2” in 2024 and “The World EP.Fin : Will” in 2023. The album's stellar performance was fueled by 228,000 equivalent album units, with pure album sales contributing a massive 223,000 units, attributed to the release of 30 distinct CD variants and five unique vinyl editions.

Comprising members Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho, Ateez released “Golden Hour : Part.5” in late June, shortly after their thirteenth EP, “Golden Hour : Part.4,” which dropped in February. This rapid succession of successful releases underscores the group's prolific output and strong fan engagement. The group's album launch also coincided with their historic performance as the third K-Pop act to headline the renowned BST Hyde Park festival in London, further cementing their international presence.

“Golden Hour : Part.5” stands out as the sole debut in the top 10 of this week's chart. Olivia Rodrigo's “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” moved to the second spot after two weeks at the top, earning 127,000 equivalent album units. Ella Langley's “Dandelion” maintained its position at No. 3, while Drake's “Iceman” shifted from No. 2 to No. 4. Morgan Wallen's “I’m the Problem” saw a slight resurgence, climbing from No. 4 to No. 5.

The remainder of the top 10 features Noah Kahan’s “The Great Divide” at No. 6, followed by Michael Jackson’s iconic albums “Thriller” and “Number Ones.” Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time” secured the ninth spot, with Olivia Dean’s “The Art of Loving” completing the top ten.

Ateez's continued success is a testament to the surging global appeal of K-pop. Their ability to consistently deliver chart-topping albums and engage a massive fan base highlights the evolving landscape of the music industry. This achievement not only celebrates their artistic endeavors but also opens doors for more diverse musical acts to gain international recognition. It's a clear indication that authentic talent, coupled with strategic releases and a dedicated fan community, can lead to monumental success on a global scale.
