A key element of this new strategy is the securing of a decade-long lease for a custom-built venue at Greenwich Peninsula in London. This permanent home, located near the O2 stadium, is poised to become the hub for Secret Cinema's future productions, commencing with the highly anticipated "Pirates of the Caribbean" next spring. The decision to invest in a dedicated space addresses previous logistical hurdles and aims to enhance the consistency and quality of their immersive offerings. The company's recent "Grease" staging at Evolution in Battersea served as a pilot for its updated approach. Baer indicates that the "Pirates" production will adopt a similar model, focusing on creating an engaging yet comfortable environment for all attendees. The upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean" event, developed in close collaboration with Disney Theatrical Group, promises to be a spectacular affair. While lacking musical numbers, the production will leverage Hans Zimmer's iconic score with elaborate musical direction and orchestration. Secret Cinema aims to create a deeply immersive experience, incorporating elements like flying and water sequences, reminiscent of Disney's theme park attractions.
