The Royal Shakespeare Company has revealed the complete cast for its highly anticipated theatrical production, “Game of Thrones: The Mad King.” This new stage adaptation, based on George R.R. Martin’s acclaimed novels, promises to transport audiences to Westeros during the tumultuous reign of King Aerys II Targaryen. The ensemble features a diverse group of talented actors who will bring to life the complex characters and intricate political landscape of this iconic fantasy world. Mariah Gale will embody both Queen Rhaella Targaryen and Lady Shella Whent, with Marcello Walton performing as Ser Jonothor Darry and Lord Tywin Lannister. Further expanding the cast are Maxim Ays as Ser Jaime Lannister, Daisy Franks as Cersei Lannister, Edem-Ita Duke as Oberyn Martell, and Elizabeth Ayodele as Princess Elia Martell. Hughie O’Donnell will play Lord Varys, while Kel Matsena is cast as Ser Arthur Dayne and Daniel Hawksford as Ser Barristan Selmy. Richard Hansell takes on the role of Grand Maester Pycelle. Marty Breen will portray Catelyn Stark, Tanisha Spring as Ashara Dayne, and Islam Bouakkaz as Howland Reed. Adrian Christopher plays Prince Lewyn Martell, Shaun Yusuf McKee is Ser Gerold Hightower, Huw Parmenter appears as Ser Oswell Whent, Sebastian Charles as Owen Merryweather, Fred Davis as Qarlton Chelsted, and Tom Larkin as Lord Whent and Wisdom Rossart.
