MSU is scheduled to visit Oklahoma State on September 16, 2028, for their inaugural encounter in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The Cowboys will then travel to Spartan Stadium on September 15, 2029, for the return game. This series was made possible after Oklahoma State had an opening in their schedule following the cancellation of a previously arranged series with Alabama, paving the way for this new, intriguing matchup.

In the years following the Oklahoma State series, the Spartans will embark on a two-game set with Cincinnati.
